James Palucci is Group Chief Financial Officer of MKB. Since joining in 2019, he has been central to building the firm from its inaugural fund into a scaled, multi-fund platform – establishing the financial, operational, and governance infrastructure that underpins the organization today.
As Group CFO, James leads financial strategy and oversight across the platform, spanning fund and firm-level reporting, governance, compliance, and risk management. He works closely with executive leadership, investment teams, and functional heads across the full breadth of the organization, bridging strategic oversight and operational execution.
In addition to his firm-wide responsibilities, James serves on MKB’s ESG Committee, reflecting his commitment to responsible and sustainable investing, and on the Finance and Audit Committees of select portfolio companies.
Prior to joining MKB, James spent five years as a public auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he audited investment managers with assets under management in excess of $100 billion. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), holds an MBA from the John Molson School of Business, and is a graduate of BDC’s General Partner Academy (CFO cohort).
