Katherine Hamilton

Katherine is Chair of 38 North Solutions and has been named one of the 500 most influential people in Washington, DC, by Washingtonian magazine. As an international policy expert, she was a longtime host of The Energy Gang podcast, a show many of us early cleantech investors faithfully tuned into. Katherine has led World Economic Forum councils and is a Senior Executive in Clean Power and Electrification. She is Vice Chair of the board of Greentown Labs and serves as a Non-Executive Director at Smarter Grid Solutions. Previously, she was President of the GridWise Alliance and a policy advisor for Good Energies.

Katherine co-directed the American Bioenergy Association and led building research and government relations at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. She spent a decade at Virginia Power, designing grids and managing projects.

Katherine studied electrical engineering at Northern Virginia Community College and holds degrees from Cornell University and the Sorbonne.
